OK, maybe you’re a crystal insider and you actually have heard of one or more of these. All I know is, I’ve been hanging out at metaphysical bookstores for more just about two decades, and these healing stones have only recently been added to my geological vocabulary. (Except maybe channeling quartz: I’d heard of it before, I just wasn’t exactly clear on what it was.)
Indochinite tektite is literally from outer space: it’s the result of a meteor fusing with rock from our planet, and turning into glass. And it’s absolutely amazing for opening you up to possibility: specifically the possibility that you can create your own reality, exactly as your little heart desires. By attuning you to the frequency of pure potentiality, it alerts you to an abundance of opportunities, even when there previously (seemingly) were none.
This gorgeous mineral is grounding, harmonizing, and inspiring: it’s great to have with you when you’re bringing creative ideas into physical form. It’s also highly protective and – because it has the added benefit of aligning you with your personal power – it can be useful for those of us who are especially sensitive to emotions, energies, and vibrations. (Caution: Galena is the primary ore of lead. So don’t take it as a gem elixir or put it in your bath water, and be sure to wash your hands after handling it.)
As you may have concluded from the image, the channeling quartz is a type of clear quartz point. According to the beloved crystal guru Melody in her seminal work, Love is in the Earth, “The Channeling Quartz Crystal is recognized by the configuration of a large seven-sided face, located in the center front position of the terminated end of the crystal; a triangular face is located on the opposite [backside] of the crystal.” (But if you don’t trust your ability to recognize one, I’m sure your friendly neighborhood or online metaphysical store will be happy to assist.) So basically a channeling quartz assists with…um, channeling. That is, receiving Divine wisdom and information from your guides, angels, deceased loved ones and your own inner truth.
Picasso stone is a variety of jasper, and like all jasper, it’s grounding, heart healing, and healing to the physical body. It has the additional benefit of supplying motivation for exercise and healthy eating, and is also great for organization and time management. So basically all your standard New Years resolutions are covered: one might even call it “the stone of good habits.” Of course, once these habits are in place, a batch of additional benefits is revealed: namely confidence, clarity, and personal empowerment.
This lunar-vibrating crystal is very much about tuning into and allowing your emotions to flow. It also brings receptivity: when we’ve been overly focused on giving and doing rather than relaxing and receiving, it helps us slow down and open up to the Divine flow of blessings the Universe is always sending our way. Furthermore, it supports the brain, helps boost metabolism, and balances energy levels according to what is most needed (vitality or anxiety relief).
