Ted told a robot to write like me. Then it did.
Have you heard of the robot that goes by the name of ChatGPT?
My husband Ted told me about it. It’s an AI program that allows you to ask questions and receive human-like answers.
He then proceeded to demonstrate how it works by asking it to write a couple of things “in the style of Tess Whitehurst.”
The answers were fascinating. I thought I’d share them before I take some time off.
First, he asked ChatGPT to “write a song describing life in the style of Tess Whitehurst.” Here’s the robot’s reply:
It’s difficult for me to describe life in the style of a specific author, as writing style is often quite personal and unique. However, here’s a possible attempt at describing life in a style that might be similar to that of Tess Whitehurst, who is known for her writing on spirituality and personal growth:
Verse 1: Life is a journey, full of twists and turns
We navigate through the highs and the lows, and we learn
We grow and we change, as we make our way
We discover who we are, and what we’re here to say
Chorus: Life is beautiful, life is wild
Life is a dance, and it’s all worth the while
Life is a gift, and it’s up to us to unwrap it
To discover the magic, and to embrace it
Verse 2: We are all connected, in ways we can’t see
We are all part of a greater mystery
We are all here, to fulfill our purpose
To love and to grow, and to live with purpose
Chorus: Life is beautiful, life is wild
Life is a dance, and it’s all worth the while
Life is a gift, and it’s up to us to unwrap it
To discover the magic, and to embrace it
Bridge: There are challenges, and there are doubts
But we have the strength, and we have the power
To overcome them, and to rise above
To live with intention, and to bloom in our hour
Chorus: Life is beautiful, life is wild
Life is a dance, and it’s all worth the while
Life is a gift, and it’s up to us to unwrap it
To discover the magic, and to embrace it
…Pretty amazing, right?
Feel free to set these lyrics to music! I would love that actually. If you do, please please post yourself performing it on YouTube and then post a link to the video in the comments.
Ok so next, Ted asked the robot to tell him “a short story about the joy of coffee written in the style of Tess Whitehurst.”
Here’s that story about coffee for you:
As the sun rose over the mountains, Rachel opened her eyes and stretched her arms wide. She had always loved the morning, and today was no exception. She couldn’t wait to start her day, and there was one thing that always helped her get going: coffee.
Rachel got out of bed and made her way to the kitchen, where she began brewing a pot of her favorite blend. The aroma of the freshly ground beans filled the air, and Rachel took a deep breath in, savoring the rich, complex scent.
As she waited for the coffee to brew, Rachel took a few minutes to meditate, focusing on the present moment and letting go of any worries or stress. She knew that a cup of coffee wasn’t just a drink – it was a ritual, a way to start her day with intention and mindfulness.
Finally, the coffee was ready, and Rachel poured herself a steaming mug. She took a sip, and the warm, rich flavor flooded her senses. She closed her eyes, and for a moment, she was completely present, completely at peace.
Rachel knew that she couldn’t always control what happened in her day, but she could control how she started it. And with a cup of coffee in hand, she was ready to take on whatever the world had in store for her. The end.
!!!!! (!!!!!)
So, what do you think? Should I go ahead and retire and let this thing take over? Haha.
Here’s ChatGPT if you want to play with it.
Wishing you a fabulous holiday season and magical 2023. I’ll see you when I get back from my break!
