COVID-19: 6 Simple Ways Lightworkers Can Help

In addition to hand washing and social distancing, here are some ways magical practitioners and energy workers can support humanity and the planet during this uniquely challenging time.

Everyone has unique talents and abilities that can be put to use in order to help create physical, emotional, and societal healing at this time. As someone who is sensitive to the subtle and energetic realms, for you, one of those talents and abilities is to establish greater harmony on the spiritual and metaphysical level. This involves energetically creating and holding the space for healing and other forms of positive change to come through.

So in addition to all the actions and precautions you’re taking on the physical level (e.g. washing your hands, social distancing, etc.), here are some simple ways you can support humanity and the planet during this uniquely challenging time.

1. Visualize Light

Your thoughts, emotions, and intentions really are powerful. To channel this power toward worldwide healing, simply relax, center yourself, and call upon the Divine in a way that feels powerful for you. Conjure up a clear visualization of blindingly bright, golden-white light. Set the intention that this light is balancing, harmonizing, and restructuring. Mentally align this light with the Divine power to bring exactly what is needed. (You do not need to know what is needed, because the Divine Presence knows.) Visualize this light moving throughout the surface of the planet, to all beings on the planet, and also to the energetic core of the planet. Then feel and sense it coming back to you.

2. Don’t Minimize Anyone’s Experience (Including Your Own)

This is a time when every human being on the planet is experiencing the same challenge in a myriad of forms.

In The Courage to Heal: A Guide for Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, it says, “[Participants in sexual trauma workshops] are often afraid that their abuse wasn’t bad enough for them to be qualified to participate. They will say, ‘It wasn’t incest – it was just a friend of the family,’ or ‘I was fourteen and it only happened once.’ …The fact that someone else has suffered from abuse more severe than your own does not lessen your suffering. Comparisons of pain are simply not useful.”

Obviously, COVID-19 is not sexual abuse. But it is trauma. And the same principle holds. While it’s not remotely accurate to say everyone is experiencing trauma in the same way or to the same degree, it’s also not helpful to discount someone’s experience (or your own experience) by comparing it to someone else’s. Firstly because we can’t accurately compare, but also because suffering is suffering. And we can only bring compassion to suffering once we acknowledge it and own it.

…And let’s not skimp on the compassion! There is no one who doesn’t deserve it, and no one whose experience doesn’t warrant it.

3. Feel Your Feelings and Bring Light Through Your Heart

My podcast cohost, Natasha Levinger, has been emphasizing how important it is during this challenge to open our hearts and allow an even greater amount of Divine light to flow to them and through them than ever before. And I enthusiastically agree.

While at first glance this may sound like nothing but love, love, and more love, it actually involves feeling all the feelings. Because we can’t feel love, or open our heart chakras, if we don’t allow our full spectrum of emotion to be what it is. And during this time, you’re highly likely to feel intense anger, sadness, fear, and anxiety, as well as love, inspiration, beauty, and transcendence…Possibly all in a single day. So whatever arises, say “yes” to it. And allow it to be.

As simple as it sounds, placing your awareness on your breath is a reliable way to get in touch with what you’re feeling and to allow your feelings to flow. You can do this while you’re driving, walking, or sitting. You can even do it right this minute. When you are breathing in, know that you are breathing in. When you are breathing out, know that you are breathing out. Sensitize yourself to the physical feelings aligned with breathing. And when your mind starts to wander, without judgment, just bring it back. You can do this for three breaths, a minute, 5 minutes, or for any length of time, at any point in your day.

4. Be Radically Kind

You may have heard this quote by Fred Rogers (better known as “Mr. Rogers). “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”

It’s heartening to see that during this global pandemic, there are many, many helpers. In addition to the helpers on the front lines, there are musicians offering free streaming concerts, charities and other organizations offering all kinds of much needed support, neighbors bringing food and other supplies to their more sensitive community members, communities rallying around beloved local businesses, and the list goes on.

…And you can be a helper. Mother Teresa wrote, “We cannot all do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Indeed, anything you do with great love creates great healing and brings great comfort, to others as well as yourself. So look passionately for any opportunity to express a kindness – great, small, or anywhere in between – with great love. Ask yourself: how can I help? What can I offer? What can I give?

Don’t exclude the simple things, like a smile, a silly song or dance posted on social media, or an encouraging text sent to a friend.

5. Create Order, Harmony, and Beauty

We all need a lot of rest during a challenge like this, so we can let our minds and bodies process everything we’re experiencing. So chances are good you won’t always feel like proactively cleaning, clearing the energy in your home, or harmonizing your personal energy field. So don’t judge yourself if you let your housekeeping or energy clearing practices slide during this time.

That being said, if you do feel up to it, creating order, harmony, and balance in your home and personal energy field is a great idea when it comes to taking care of yourself and creating the space for divine healing to flow into the collective consciousness at this time. You can do this in many ways. You can clean your home, attend to your home’s feng shui, and clear the space in your home. You can also take care of your own energy with things like sea salt baths, energetic hygiene, and other holistic recharging practices.

6. Send Love to All Beings

If you’ve been watching my oracle readings or listening to my podcast lately, you’ve heard me talk about how much anger has been coming up for me during this challenge. And it’s been arising in all number of ways, from everyday frustrations and personal grievances, to dismay about people disregarding stay-at-home orders, to all out fury about government decisions or attitudes that have been putting citizens at risk. If you’re experiencing something like this too, it’s a perfectly normal reaction to have when you feel threatened, sad, or in the midst of any sort of trauma. So certainly have compassion for yourself when you notice anger (or any other feeling) arising. Breathe through it and allow the feelings to flow, evolve, and change.

…And, send love to everybody. Something that’s bringing me comfort during this time is sending love, even (and especially!) to the people who seem to inspire the most anger within me. After all, as I mentioned earlier, we are all experiencing trauma at this time. Every single one of us. Knowing this can be a portal into greater compassion: toward people in our lives who seem to challenge our peace of mind, political leaders we’ve never met, and literally everyone else.

There is so much we lightworkers can offer the world at this time. So be kind to yourself, have patience with the process, and generously share your unique healing gifts and abilities with the world.

Wow! # 6 especially hit home – particularly the bit about anger towards politicians ( one in particular who is bewildering to me !). I feel so frustrated and sad for my American friends who’ve been let down by leaders ( I’m fortunate to be living in Canada ) but I am trying to put the thought out into the universe that the world will shift, and that the right leaders, with the right desire, will move into place and create a better, unified planet of compassion, peace and quality of life for all. Thank you, once again, for all the good you put out into the world Tess! xo

Mariajose, have you tried talking to a therapist? Perhaps a counselor or psychologist of some kind?

In addition to continuing with therapy, I recommend clearing all your clutter from everywhere and taking 3 drops of Rescue Remedy under your tongue or in water twice per day, morning and night.

It would mean different things for different people, but I get the sense that it’s a magical & positive omen.

Thank you so much for this article. Recently I lost my parents and lost my 2 aunts and one uncle all back to back and also lost my job of 25 years. The news of riots and looting further traumatized me remembering my childhood of being attacked and robbed and discriminated against. The loss of my parents and my job and remembering everything made me feel like crying and angry. But I used covid time to send healing to myself and everyone in all directions of space and time. Slowly the anger and sadness started melting away. I envisioned a giant sphere of the flower of life all charged up with brilliant light merged onto Mother Earth. I prayed sent healing, love and forgiveness to all. sending love to all is what healed me also. Thank you for your light 🙏
