3 Love Drawing Spells for Valentine’s Day

Looking for love this Valentine’s Day? These three simple love spells help you open your heart, magnetize romance, and invite meaningful connection.

Pay no attention to the word on the street. Love isn’t scarce—and you don’t have to chase it. Especially around Valentine’s Day (when the collective energy is already humming with romance, affection, and possibility) a little magic can go a long way.

These classic love-drawing spells are designed to help you become a magnet for the kind of love you actually want. They’re simple, fun, and rooted in the idea that love responds best to clarity, receptivity, and a dash of enchantment.

Love Spell #1: Open the Door to Romance

If you haven’t been in the dating world for a while and you’re ready now to open the door to some new possibilities, this is the spell for you. It’s a great way to declare to yourself and the cosmos that while you may not be ready for any big commitments just yet, you are ready to call some joyful new activity into your love life.

You will need these items:

• Rose incense and an incense holder
• A peach moonstone pendant (Any style and price range you prefer will work.)

On the morning of a new moon, bathe or shower and dress in something clean that feels good on your body. Safely light the rose incense on your love altar, and bathe the pendant in the smoke. Then extinguish the incense.

While holding the pendant in your left hand, open your front door as far as it will go (and if there’s anything limiting its full range of movement, remove it). Stand precisely on the threshold, so you are neither completely inside nor completely outside of your home. Say:

I open my heart to the playful potential for love. I welcome sweetness. I welcome fun. I call in romantic attention and welcome in the new.

Leaving the door wide open, step just outside of it. Hang the pendant around your neck. With the door still open, step just inside the door as you gesture inward as if you are welcoming in houseguests. As you do this, feel that you are inviting fun, new romantic opportunities into your life.

Wear the pendant regularly to magnetize the romantic attention you desire.

Love Spell #2: Call in a New Love

Perhaps you’ve heard friends and coworkers wax poetic about wanting to meet the one : meaning their one and only true love, soul mate, life partner, or twin flame.

But while many of us eventually meet someone we want to spend our lives with, the truth is that there are literally countless possibilities in the world for who that might be. When we talk about the one, we imply that there is only one destined partner out there for us, when there just may be millions of people we could potentially love to stay with for life. So why should we place those limits on ourselves?

And anyway, maybe you’d like to call in someone new to your life, but you’re not quite ready to sign up for a lifetime with anyone just yet. You can cross that bridge when you come to it, after all. If so, this spell is for you.

Gather these items:

• 6 pink or peach roses in a vase
• Scissors or garden shears
• Hair clips or pins

On the morning of a new moon, after bathing or showering, remove one rose from the vase. Waft it around your body as if you are brushing your aura (also known as your energy field) with the blossom. Say:

Great Goddess, thank you for bringing me a new love.

Snip most of the stem off the blossom, and either wear the flower in your hair or pin it to your lapel (or wear it in another creative way, if you prefer). At the end of the day, place the blossom near the base of a tree or in a yard waste bin.

Using the remaining flowers, repeat this process for the next five days.

If someone asks about your new accessory, you can say whatever you want: that you’re on a rose kick lately, that the scent relaxes you, or that fresh roses are all the rage on the runways in Paris this season. There’s only one thing you can’t say if you want the spell to work: that it’s for a love spell. Keep your love spell a secret.

Love Spell #3: Call in a Life Partner

When you’re good and ready to find someone special you can live it up with and settle down with, this spell will help.

You will need these items:

• A diffuser necklace (also known as an aromatherapy necklace or an essential oil necklace—i.e., a pendant made for holding essential oil)
• Neroli essential oil

On a Friday when the moon is full or in the second quarter, take the items outside someplace safe where you won’t be disturbed, and gaze up at the moon.

Feel yourself soaking in the magic of the moonlight. Then speak or whisper words to the moon about the life partner you are calling in. Be sure to talk about your general wishes for your relationship and how you will feel in your relationship, rather than about specific traits you think your partner should have, such as their hair color or what they do for a living. (It’s best to dial into the vibration of how you want to feel, and leave the details up to the universe.)

As an example, the following words would be appropriate for this spell:

Great Goddess, Divine Feminine, beloved Mother Moon, I’m now calling in a life partner. I’m calling in someone I love and who loves me. I’m calling in someone intelligent, funny, and fun. I’m calling in someone who has a successful career that he (or she/they/etc.) is passionate about. We are wildly attracted to each other. We laugh a lot. We listen to each other and are kind to each other. We respect each other as equals. We have fun together. We support each other in our personal evolution. We go on fun adventures and vacations together that we both appreciate. We are more perfect for each other than I could have ever imagined. I am endlessly astounded by what a great fit we are. We live a life we love. Thank you.

Be sure to feel all the joy and expansion of having this person as a life partner, as if they were already present in your life. Feel gratitude.

Add the neroli essential oil to the necklace. (Each necklace should come with instructions for how many drops to use.) Hang it around your neck.

Wear the necklace until you realize you have met your life partner, refreshing the scent as needed.
