Find and acquire your perfect home with this powerful spell.
Few things can be as exciting – or as stressful! – as the process of finding and buying a home.
Lucky for you, you’re magical! So you can work this spell to magnetize the home that is perfect for you.
In this ritual, you’ll be working with Hestia, the Greek goddess of hearth and home.
It’s best to perform this spell on a Thursday when the moon is between new and full.
Ingredients:
Paper
Pen
Red or burgundy candle
Lighter or matches
Dinner plate
Vitex powder
Whole cloves
Wine glass
Good red wine
A wine opener
As spell preparation, sit comfortably with pen and paper. At the top, write, “OUR (or MY) NEW HOME.” Then make a list of all the features and qualities you desire in your home, including how you feel in it, how surprisingly easy it is to find and purchase, and the price range that is ideal for you. As you write, do your best to feel as if you are excitedly describing a place that is already yours. Take your time and write multiple drafts if necessary until it feels just right. Once it’s complete, feel gratitude for this home, again as if it’s already yours.
Fold the paper twice, folding toward yourself both times. Place it in the center of the dinner plate and put the candle on top. Sprinkle a small amount of cloves and vitex around the outside of the candle on the plate.
Light the candle and say:
Hestia, I call on you.
Set the wine glass near the dinner plate with candle. Open the wine and pour a glass. Say:
Hestia, I lovingly offer you this libation.
Radiant goddess, I humbly request that you help magnetize this home into our (my) life.
By your powers of warmth, laughter, sustenance, and safety, please unite us (me) with this home swiftly, perfectly, and in a divine manner.
Hestia, gratitude! For sharing your beauty and blessings! Gratitude!
If you’d like, pour yourself – and, optionally, any loved ones who will join you in the home – a glass of wine. Toast to Hestia and your new home (again, gratefully celebrating as if you’ve already found and purchased it), and drink.
Either way, allow the candle to burn all the way down. For safety purposes, it’s OK if you need to extinguish it and re-light it at intervals over the next few days.
After a few hours have passed, take the wine glass outside and offer its contents to the earth.
Continue to feel gratitude whenever you think of your move and your new home.
Brightest blessings and congratulations on your positive change!
…By the way, keep me posted! Please be sure to come back and give me an update in the comments.

My red candle is pretty fat and may not burn out all the way before the full moon comes. Should I get a smaller candle or is it ok to start during a waxing moon, even though the candle will finish when it’s a waning moon?
Tess Whitehurst says
Hi Hannah! Either one is OK. It’s up to you.
Hannah says
Thank you! I just realized a pillar candle may not be too good because it won’t be able to burn all the way (since it’s 3″ across) and so there’ll be about 1/4″ of wax left. Should I do the spell again with a skinnier candle so it can burn completely?
Tess Whitehurst says
Hi Hannah! Well, the intention is the most important thing, so if you feel like the spell went great – like if it felt good to you – I would say you don’t really need to redo it. But on the other hand, it won’t hurt! It’s really up to you.
Hannah says
I did feel positive when I did it (actually got emotional!) so I’ll wait for the spell to work its magic 🙂

Hello,
I have a long situation here. So, I am almost 34 years old and decided to move out from my parental home (a 3-rooms apartment I’ve been living in since birth).
Now, my grandma is willing to sell her apartment and move in with mom in my place (dad died in 2001). Her apartment is a small 2-rooms one and I will need additional money to get me a bigger and cooler 2-rooms one for me (but it’s not the issue here).
We have offers for grandma’s apartment, but, for the life of me, I cannot find a satisfying one for me.
Some said about a Prosperity spell, but I feel I need more for the apartment I’ll be living in for a good chunk of my life. Mom will (eventually, after the inevitable with grandma happens) move in it and sell my parental home and I will move into a much bigger apartment.
If I do this spell, do I include mom too for the apartment I will buy? Like carve the candle, or something? Specifically, she won’t be joining me in this new apartment I want to buy right now, she will move in afterwards.
I want to get married -not sure who my destiny is yet!!- and live with my husband in this for a while. Should I include a “husband” (generic naming in my carving?) in the spell for this future apartment?
And, do I need to perform any Road Opener or Block Buster spell before this? Or Prosperity spell?
The earth offering will be done outside my parental house, as this is where I do my spells for now. Is it okay or should I go somewhere else?
Thank you so much! Blessed be!
Tess Whitehurst says
Hi Diane! Just focus on your intention for how you would like to feel in your new home. I wouldn’t worry about the husband yet, and if you want your mom to live with you, you don’t need to do anything special. It’s always good to open up to the best possible outcome, so focus more on the feeling rather than the specifics. Leave the details up to the Universe. And it’s up to you whether or not you want to do another spell before this one (for prosperity or road opening).

Hey Tess
My sisters and I have decided that my father is at an age that he needs help,so I have been selected to take care of him. I will be taking a leave of absence from my caregiving job to care for him until he passes. Initially, the plan was to buy a house and the 2 of us would live there and they would pay me my currant salary. I told them to rent a house instead of buying one because it would be quicker. The plan is for me to be there the week before Christmas. When I do the find a home spell, do I include my sisters since they would be the one’s renting the house or since this is magic I do it for my Dad and I?
Tess Whitehurst says
Hi Kathleen! I would do it for you and your Dad.

Hello,
We have been searching for a couple months now, and have had a couple of poor outcomes with offers we have made. However, I understand that it is most likely because they were not the right properties. Given the time that has gone by, we have been able to save more money for a bigger down payment, which makes the purchase price in our search higher. This means that instead of buying a place that will “work” for the short term, we are getting closer to the price of homes that will be perfect, now and into the future. Our lease is nearly up, and getting into a home sooner would decrease our cost of living, which is a very important part of why we are wanting to buy instead of rent. Rent is very expensive here.
I put in an offer, substantially lower than the asking price, but it’s what we can afford right now. We will have an answer by Friday on the offer. I realize this may not work out, no matter how much I would like it to because it fits all our needs for a home.
Tomorrow is Thursday, but we’re in a waning moon right now. We will hear the answer to the offer on Friday (before Saturday).
How important is the moon phase for this spell? Do you think I should just wait for the answer on this offer, and do the spell on Thursday of the next waxing moon? Or do the spell tomorrow?
Thank you =)

PS, The next Thursday with a waxing moon is October 31 where I live.
Tess Whitehurst says
Think positively about finding the home that is perfect for you in perfect timing. Open your mind to the possibility that something divine and unexpected may happen. Use affirmations, light candles, do whatever you need to do to stay in a positive mindset. Then, if you’re still looking for a house come Thursday of the next waxing moon, do the spell.

My husband and I were always basically told that we would either not be able to buy a home or that it would be very difficult for us because we are self employed. On Christmas eve of 2018, we were notified that we would have to be out of our rental by March 2019, because our home was no longer being offered for rent. Having a new baby, and not finding anything we could afford to rent that fit our newly bigger family’s needs, we decided to give buying a try. We had a great realtor, but the mortgage broker she connected us with could only get us approved for a $60k loan because we were self employed and that broker didn’t know how to account for our unique income. Extremely discouraged, and panicked by the ticking timeline of when we would need to be out of our current home, I found this spell in a google search, and looked on my calendar for the next Thursday during a waxing period, and set aside the time to do this spell on my calendar. When it was time to do the spell, I indicated in my description of the house how easy it was to get our loan and how we got so much more than we initially thought we’d be able to, since that had been our biggest struggle thus far. I substituted basil for the Vitex, just using what I had on hand. The next morning, my husband took a call in the office and came out saying “you are magical,” and I asked why and he told me that we’d been approved for a $135k loan from a different mortgage broker recommended by our accountant – more than double what we were initially told! Then we could start looking for houses, and the house we ended up buying was one of the first houses we looked at (something I indicated when I did the spell, knowing that we needed to be swift about it,) it had tons of natural light, and two porches and back yard, all things I indicated in my spell. The house was sitting vacant for 6 years prior to the current owner buying it to flip it, and we were the first and only people to put an offer on it in the 3 weeks it had been on the market, despite its great price and sellers market at the time. The address is even 1111. We have now lived there since April (it’s currently September,) and everyone who enters it says that it feels like it has good energy. I credit this spell for how this home found its way to our family and am forever grateful. <3
