Thank you Tess for reminding me that while I am living a wonderful life, seeing what is happening around the world and feeling very sad about it doesn’t mean I should disengage from interacting and participating in the human experience. While I have to take care of myself first, I can certainly put the positive energy (not toxic) out in the world, which can build and bridge. I also can grieve for those who are suffering and ones who have lost their lives, without losing myself. It is a fine balance, but I am strong and can do it. Again, thank you for talking about this. It is so important to not ignore what is going on without getting sucked into it.
Thank you for totally getting what I was saying, Pam. Glad to know you’re on my page.
Insightful and compassionate, as always. Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
Jennifer, thank you for watching and for the encouraging words.
Tess, you have been a living example of what it’s like to be able to call in “calm & peaceful” out of the chaos of living as a human being to me for a long time. I had an experience with a set of books that helped greatly to put the World and all that in there is into perspective. The first book is called Journey of Souls and the second book is Destiny of Souls. They were written by Michael Newton. If you can take the time to read them and really study the content, I think you would find it even easier to commit to this life and all of its ups and downs. I hope you will look into them. They are really something else! Love you! SunRaven
SunRaven, thank you for the kind words and for the book recommendations! When my first book, Magical Housekeeping, came out, I met Michael Newton at the International New Age Trade Show in Denver, where we were both signing books. That was back in 2010. I know people love his books, but for whatever reason I haven’t read them yet. I will check them out. Thank you!
Hi Tess!
Your comments on recommitting to human life definitely resonate. A friend and I recently had a discussion on feeling exhausted and frankly ready for whatever is on the other side, though we would never rush that agenda. I think we need to shake off the ick and focus on the magnificent part of the human experience. Like you said, nature, friends, food, all these things are a delicious reminder that life on this earth is worth fighting for. Those of us that want to see changes can each contribute in our own small ways. We can’t give all of this beauty to those that don’t see it.
I love your spirit! Thanks for sharing.
Much love,
Dora
Dora, I’m so glad you know what I mean! It was important to me to articulate this effectively so that anyone who had similar feelings would get it. Thank you for affirming that I succeeded! Also, it’s great to know that I’m not alone in this journey of recommitting to the human experience.
