Thanks for letting me know about your positive experience, Emma. Blessed Solstice.
What is your advice when some of these affirmations don’t ring true? I love using your affirmations as a guide; I always say them in a focused, meditative way, and often feel beautiful responses, physical and intellectual, as I say them. However, is this set of affirmations, as I say some of them, the ones about being successful, having material wealth, etc., instead I felt immediate STRONG reactions of negatives about myself— doubt, disbelief, etc. Thoughts like, “I’m not a success. I never reached my potential, and I never will. I’m not rich in material wealth. Nobody thinks of me as a success.”
Should I just ignore those negative thoughts and feelings and say the affirmations, anyway? Or should I skip them? Or are there rebukes/answers I might learn to say to these malicious vibes?
Thank you…
Cindy, great question! I recommend reading the book You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay, and doing all the exercises. Her first few chapters help you get into a mindset where you are more open to changing your beliefs. I like the gift edition. Here it is on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2WE0f5e
As I continued to read each line I became emotional, but more so in a grateful way. My journey has been a very long and not so bright. But once you realize you are the light the darkness disappears. Thank you Tess
