Each day has its own energy and personality. Here are 3 important keys to tuning into the unique magic of the day.
The following abridged info is from chapter 5 of my book, You Are Magical.

Monday is ruled by, and named after, the moon. It’s ethereal, receptive, and deep. It lends itself to magic related to intuition, introspection, nurturing, and relaxation.
Tuesday is ruled by Mars and named after the Norse god Try (Tyr’s Old English name was Tiw). It’s active, competitive, and strong. It lends itself to magic related to victory, activism, and courage.
Wednesday is ruled by Mercury and is named after the Norse god Woden (or Odin). It’s quick-witted, communicative, and mobile. It lends itself to magic related to thought, travel, discussion, and the written word.
Thursday is ruled by Jupiter and is named after the Norse god Thor. It’s expansive, lucky, and luxurious. It lends itself to magic related to wealth, prosperity, and career.
Friday is ruled by Venus and is named after the Norse goddess Freya (or possibly Frigga). It’s romantic, sensual, and aesthetically savvy. It lends itself to magic related to love, beauty, and attraction.
Saturday is ruled by Saturn and named after the Roman god of the same name. It’s grounded, practical, and wise. It lends itself to magic related to cleansing, banishing, and the home.

The Magic of the Moon Signs
You can discover the day’s moon sign on a website like this one, or in a magical almanac like this one.
Aries is a fire sign, ruled by the planet Mars and symbolically represented by the ram. Aries loves starting things and has a youthful exuberance. While its shadow side is impatience, this same aspect can be channeled toward getting stuck energy moving again and propelling ourselves out of ruts.
Taurus is an earth sign, ruled by the planet Venus and symbolically represented by the bull. Taurus has a sturdy, steadfast vibration, and also loves the sensual, earthy realm. While its shadow side is stubbornness, this same aspect can be channeled toward sticking to our commitments, values, and goals.
Gemini is an air sign, ruled by the planet Mercury and symbolically represented by the twins. Gemini is sparkling, rapidly moving, charismatic, and idea-filled. While its shadow side is extreme changeability (like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), this same aspect can be channeled toward maintaining an open mind and a flexible perspective.
Cancer is a water sign, ruled by the moon and symbolically represented by the crab. Cancer is devoted, nurturing, and deeply sensitive. After all, crabs have a hard outer shell only because they’re so soft on the inside. While Cancer’s shadow side is possessiveness, this same aspect can be channeled toward creating stability and loyally maintaining lifelong relationships.
Leo is a fire sign, ruled by the sun and symbolically represented by the lion. Leo is a natural leader and loved socializing, being seen, and being in the spotlight. While its shadow side is self-centeredness, this same aspect can be channeled toward leading and inspiring others by example.
Virgo is an earth sign, ruled by Mercury and symbolically represented by an independent woman. (To the ancients, the word virgin didn’t necessarily mean what it means to us today. Rather, it described a woman who may like men but doesn’t need a man.) Virgo is meticulous: it keeps an eye on details and enjoys creating order and harmony in the inner and outer realms. While its shadow side might be described as nitpicky, this same aspect can be channeled toward helping heal and release patterns that no longer serve.
Libra is an air sign, ruled by Venus and symbolically represented by balancing scales. Libra loves fairness, aesthetic beauty, and balance of all varieties. While its shadow side is frivolity, this same aspect can be channeled toward keeping things light while deeply appreciating art and the beauty of the physical world.
Scorpio is a water sign, ruled by Pluto and symbolically represented by the scorpion. Scorpio is a complex and charismatic sign: it fearlessly delves into life’s mysterious depths. While its shadow side is jealousy, this same aspect can be channeled toward abiding passion in intimate love.
Sagittarius is a fire sign, ruled buy Jupiter and symbolically represented by the archer (a centaur with a bow and arrow). Sagittarius is lucky, expansive, adventurous, and gregarious. It finds great joy in traveling to exotic places and meeting all sorts of interesting people. While its shadow side is extravagance, this same aspect can be channeled toward all forms of generosity.
Capricorn is an earth sign, ruled by Saturn and symbolically represented boy the goat. Capricorn is independent, focused, disciplined, and exceptionally successful at reaching goals. While its shadow side could be called harshly critical, this same aspect can be channeled toward achieving and maintaining impeccable excellence.
Aquarius is an air sign, ruled by Uranus and symbolically represented by the water bearer (a person carrying a pitcher of water). Aquarius is wonderfully unique, with a singular ability to perceive things without looking through the lens of convention. This makes Aquarian insights both radical and invaluable. While its shadow side is self-aggrandizement, this same aspect can be channeled toward fearlessly being oneself and speaking one’s truth.
Pisces is a water sign, ruled by Neptune and symbolically represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. Pisces is the most watery of water signs, aligned with poetry, music, and the deepest, most dreamlike depths of the sea. While its shadow side could be described as spacing out or living in a dream world, this same aspect can be channeled toward creating immensely beautiful artwork and providing useful intuitive information.
