If we’re honest about wanting to learn, grow, heal, and evolve, we have to learn to turn towards our pain, fear, and vulnerability – not away from it.
I’m not saying we should do this every hour of every day. Not like “let me figure out what to feel sad about today” or “I can’t stop working on my problems until I’m a perfect and enlightened person.” But just like, “Oh hey, there’s an area where I’ve been feeling stuck: what’s that about?” Or “Wow, there’s some pain there. Let me breathe into it and feel it. Let me be kind and compassionate with myself so these feelings can move and I can heal.”
