Hi Tess
I am brand new to this. I started reading about spell casting and rituals and about the getting connected with the universe because ( i think) i got the calling – i think i might be experiencing my awakening…
Anyway I have tried one of your spells and during the spell casting without any warning i burst into tears. It wasnt sad tears and I was kind of surprised . I stumbled over a few words in the spell but i finished it.
I am wondering if crying or any emotional outburst like this is normal?
Does it effect the spell itself? Would i have to repeat the spell?
I think it will take practice but it would be good to know if this is normal while spell casting? If so – why does this happen?
Katie, how interesting! I wouldn’t worry. I’d imagine that’s a good sign. It’s my sense that it’s because you’ve found your path and it was like coming home after being away for decades. Lots of love and blessings to you on your magical path.
Hi, are there any of these starter spells that you were talking about that you would recommend?
Hi Alice! Maybe see if there are any in the Spells and Rituals section of my blog that appeal to you: https://tesswhitehurst.com/category/spells-and-rituals/
I love this! Thank you so much!! Do you have any sources you like to use for the modern witch? (ie: apps, websites, etc) 🙂
Hi Sara! Glad it resonated! Hmm, I like The Witch’s Tarot app (based on the deck by Ellen Dugan) and SkyView for recognizing planets & constellations. And Insight Timer is a great meditation app.
Fabulous! I look forward to exploring them!
