Why You Should Keep Quiet About Your Magical Work

If you want to manifest positive conditions through things like spell work, visualization, and affirmations, it’s important to observe the magical law of containment and to honor the power of silence. Here’s why.

Hey Tess! I leave many of my magical books out in the living room on shelves and have had neighbors ask me about them. I feel very protective of the books even though no one really says anything out loud. Do your thoughts on keeping the work a secret extend to keeping the research and practice materials hidden as well? Or, are you specifically referring to the actual work and intent?

Hi M! I’m thinking more of the actual work and intent, but if your intuition tells you that keeping those books out of sight could help protect and conserve your power, I’d definitely listen to that.

There’s a part of me that wants to share and introduce. One of my friend’s wives was really interested and borrowed several books. However, that is rare. I live in the Bible belt. I’m thinking it may be time to put those in a different place. Thanks so much, Tess!

          Hi Morgan…
If I may…your books or any instruments of your craft and research, should be allowed any place you deem appropriate…Should you share space with others, roommates , children, etc…then perhaps a dedicated space…
I as well live in the bible belt…I acknowledge their rights, to not harass me with their beliefs and I won’t harass them as well…I put up my outdoor wreaths…go on my nature walks…quietly spin under the full moon in the parking lot…We can live side by side, after all, the God of creation has no name…and in our culture, we have many Gods and Goddesses to call on…we may include theirs and they are not required to accept ours…
Yet…getting back to the article…it is our workings Tess was discussing…When we do a spell, it is not needful to discuss the working…
Please accept my poor opinions in a loving way…
          Respect…💚🙏💚…🌿🌿🌿

Thank you Tess for the reminder…In today’s “Everyone has some Witchiness” culture, the overload of detail in their every move, is purely one-upmanship to impress anyone within earshot…As humans tend to be competitive, it’s easy to join in…But don’t !…
As you have outlined, the intent becomes distracted, and so fizzles out, doesn’t work as well or actually becomes counterproductive…
    My take ?…Glad you asked…
Magick is fluid and allowances can be made…However, if you have done a protection spell on Sunday, it would be unwise to provoke the tormentors on Monday…
Magick is a living thing..a thing to be lived…As such, the intent and energy infused into your work, should not be bantered about like the latest hip-hop song…
Thank you for your time and the sharing of your wisdom…💚🙏💚…🌿🌿🌿

Ditto. I never bother with videos since I can read faster than the video can play.
