Make your heart smile and bring blessings to the world with one of these 10 magical acts of kindness.
I’m happy to report that random acts of kindness are in style again.
…And well they should be! In addition to bringing joy to others and just plain making the world a better place, performing a random act of kindness brings us immediate joy.
This is instant karma: the instantaneous boomerang effect.
Not to mention, what we send out energetically comes back to us multiplied: not always in the same form, but always in equal measure. That’s why a single act of kindness – even a seemingly tiny one – can have lasting and far reaching effects for us, sending resonant chimes of auspicious vibrations throughout our entire life experience.
That’s the thought behind these 10 ideas for random acts of kindness, specifically tailored to the magically and metaphysically-minded among us.
1. Buy a crystal for a stranger.
The next time you’re in a metaphysical store, choose a special crystal: one that calls to you. Your intuition will know which one feels right. Then buy it, and tell the clerk that it’s for the next customer who arrives at the register. (Can you imagine how fun that would be to receive?)
2. Light a candle for a missing pet.
When a flyer for a missing pet next catches your eye, take note of the name and species of the animal. When you get home, light a candle and invoke St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Ask him to find and return the animal and feel a huge upwelling of gratitude for the help, seeing the animal safe at home and sensing the relief and love felt by the animal’s human family.
3. Put Rescue Remedy in the milk.
Regardless of the type of milk your household likes to drink (soy, oat, hemp, or dairy), put a single drop of Rescue Remedy (a homeopathic remedy made from the alchemical vibrations of four flowers) in the carton in the fridge. This way, each time anyone in your house consumes any, they will be getting an extra dose of balancing relaxation and energetic support.
4. Pick up trash for the nature fairies.
Any time you dispose of outdoor trash, the fairies rejoice. In turn, this brings greater beauty and blessings to the entire neighborhood and local web of life.
5. Silently bless everyone you see in the supermarket.
Before your next grocery store trip, set the intention to silently bless and send love to everyone you see. You can picture them surrounded in golden white light, or simply send them silent messages such as, “You are loved,” “You are beautiful,” or, “You are a Divine child, worthy of love.”
6. Ask angels to clear and surround your neighborhood hospital or ER.
Any time you’d like to work a bit of kindness magic, light a white candle and ask Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael to clear and bless the hospital or emergency room in your neighborhood. Then visualize a sphere of light encompassing the space and ask for a circle of angels to perpetually surround it, and to powerfully hold the vibrations of healing, harmony, and love.
7. Gift a stranger with money and an abundance blessing.
Bless a $5 with the energy of expansive abundance and luck. Then affix it to the inside of a public bathroom stall with a sticky label that says, “Abundant riches are coming your way.” (Bonus: this is also a powerful wealth ritual for YOU.)
8. Feed the air fairies (AKA birds).
9. Fold love into your family or partner’s clothes.
The next time you’re on laundry duty, send love and light into each bit of clothing as you fold it. Your loved one(s) will certainly feel a boost of positivity, even though they’ll have no idea why.
10. Dance or play music at a convalescent home in your neighborhood.
Music and dancing are a form of magic. By taking the time to bring brightness and joy to the lives of wise and venerable strangers, your instant karma will light up like a holiday tree, and strands of positivity will interweave themselves throughout the whole of your life experience.
Everything is energy. Even the “smallest” random act of (magical) kindness brings beautiful blessings to the entire energetic field. Try one and see.
