Find yourself an awesome new job with this fun and powerful spell.
You don’t just want to find any job! You want to find your perfect job…Or at least the job that’s perfect for you right now.
If this is true for you, this candle spell has got you covered.
You can do this new job spell on the new moon, the full moon, or anywhere in between. While a waxing moon is ideal for this spell, it’s ok to do it any time during the moon cycle. Trust that whenever you feel the need or desire to perform this spell, you’re right on time.
As with any spell, it’s important that you get into the feeling of what you want to experience. So imagine how you will feel when you get a wonderful new job. Then see if you can feel that feeling now.
Think to yourself: What if? What if I had the job I wanted right this very minute? How would that feel? How would it feel to get ready in the morning (or whenever I’m getting ready)? How would it feel to be happily at work? How would it feel to celebrate after receiving the good news? What facial expression would I have? Where would I feel these feelings in my body, and how would I move?
Take a moment to smile, open your heart, move around a little (hip circles always feel good to me at times like these), and expand into these feelings now.
And, before you perform this spell, take some additional time to relax and get into a joyful, receptive state. For example, you could take a warm bath, do some yoga, go for a walk outside, or walk barefoot on grass. All these activities would ground you, relieve stress, and help you come into the present moment. Then you’ll be ready to tune into the wonderful feeling of getting just the job you will love and enjoy the most.
Once you feel relaxed, centered, and open, you’re ready to work your magic and set the energetic conditions in motion that will help you manifest that wonderful new job.
Remember: that new job is out there for you! It’s just a matter of attuning to its frequency and attracting it. And that’s what this spell is all about.
You will need:
- A bee candle (Here’s a cute one on Amazon). Alternatively, you can find lots of options on Etsy, carve a simple drawing of a bee into a candle (if you’re talented like that), or print out a picture of a bee and paste it on to a jar candle. Just make sure you love it: appreciating the beauty of your spell ingredients always lends a boost.)
- A clear quartz point, cleansed in bright sunlight, running water, and/or sage smoke
- Paper and pen
- A lighter or matches
Place the candle on your altar or another flat surface, such as a coffee table, and sit comfortably in front of it. Take some deep, conscious breaths. Relax your body and center your mind.
At the top of the paper, write,
Thank you, Universe, for my amazing and wonderful new job!
Next, take some time to write out all the qualities and feelings associated with the job you’d most like to find, in the present tense.
For example, you might write,
- I work with people I like and respect, and who like and respect me.
- I enjoy what I do. I have so much fun when I’m at work.
- This job is perfectly suited to my talents and abilities.
- I love my work environment.
- I make at least ___ per week.
- My work is within a 10 minute drive of my house.
- …And/or whatever qualities are most important to you.
Be sure to be specific about the feelings and qualities associated with your new job, but not so specific that you limit the Universe’s ability to bring you the best of all possible situations. (In other words, if you specify exactly where you will work, you may be depriving yourself of a fabulous opportunity that you couldn’t possibly know about yet.)
When this feels complete, at the bottom, write,
Thank you so much, Universe – for all this and/or something even better. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Blessed be! And so it is.
Then sign and date.
Light the candle and victoriously read what you have written aloud, while holding the crystal in your right hand.
Set the crystal on your altar, and fold the paper into quarters or eights, folding toward you each time.
Place the paper on your altar near the candle, and place the crystal on top.
Allow the candle to safely burn all the way down, extinguishing and re-lighting again as necessary. (For example when you go to sleep or leave the house.)
The spell can begin working right away (even before the candle is burned all the way down), but be sure to take positive action in the physical world. In other words, don’t neglect to send out your resume, fill out applications, and ask around. Magic doesn’t work in a vacuum – it works in harmony with physical world action.

You could leave it on your altar under a crystal, or recycle it, or do one for a while and then the other – whatever feels right.

Can you do this for someone else?
If you ask them first, and make sure not to impose your own opinions or will about where they should work. Generally speaking, though, I would recommend that they do it for themselves.
I am curious if there is anything in particular to with the items after the candle has burned all the way down.

I am new to spell casting … What is the significance of a “bee candle”? Why a bee? I’ve read other spells to get a job. They all use candles, usually 3 colors: green, yellow, & white. But yours is the tinkly one that specifies using a bee candle … I’m just wondering why. Like I said, I’m new at this.

Swallowing my pride and hoping the universe is nudging me in the right direction. I did the spell and got two job offers but I not the one I want (yet) I know it said not to but I named the specific job/company in the writing part of the spell will this help land the job or did I ruin it by getting specific
I usually recommend adding “this or something even better” if you want to get specific, but if you already did it without that added phrase, you can just sort of switch to that right now with regards to your expectations. Like, whenever you think of the job search, think “this exact job or something better is on its way to me now!”

I don’t have a crystal but I do have a sage smudging kit. How do I use the sage smoke in place of a crystal? I have a white taper candle that would burn down fairly quickly, will that do?
Mary, crystals are not difficult to obtain and you can find one that’s not overly expensive. And you can certainly substitute a white taper candle. But if it’s not too much trouble, I’d take the extra time to gather the spell ingredients. I’m always up for a substitution, because intentions are actually all you need, but for some reason my intuition is telling me a little extra patience with gathering the recommended ingredients might be a powerful aspect of the magical working for you.

So, I had lit a Beeswax Pillar candle I purchased per your great recommendation. Excellent vendor and high quality candle! Thank you! The thing is, I was only able to burn down 25% of the candle by re lightening it every night for three nights (the day before to the day after the full moon) for a new job spell. I want to do the same ritual again next month so may I reuse the same candle and just lit it up, or do I have to start a new ritual with a new candle? Do the candle needs to burn completely down for it to work?

Hi Ron! I would focus on the feeling of that job, or “that job or something even better, for the highest and truest good of all.” Focusing on one exact job can be limiting. There may be something even better that you’re not even aware of yet.
I’ve been self employed most of my life and due to covid my business has plummeted and income zilch. I was always in the tourism beauty bridal business. I’ve been wanting to transform my business into a spiritually based one for a long time. I’ve always been creative and artistic and somewhat magical. I have been certified in several healing modalities, reiki several dozen or so types, have cosmetology license, beauty training, fashion design, crystal healing training, Angel healings. I meditate everyday and am proficient with pendulum. I have a knack with beauty and selecting crystals. I wish I had more skills to be assured success in my dream career. So far the only jobs available are beautician jobs that pay minimum wages, and post office job that pays average but dreary and I would stick out like a sore thumb. Where do I go? Also salons have strong chemical fumes that make me nauseous. My free lance business of over 25 years was lucrative and flexible and successful. I feel so sad to have lost it. But at the same time still desire that spiritual and beauty career. I sometimes daydream and envision my products being sold everywhere, and I’m dressed magical bejeweled and feel so happy to present my products. I even smell the products in my visions, and feel the textures of the many magically crafted decor and items I created. I don’t know why but every reading I’ve done with cards, runes, have shown me success and great sacrifice going against those closest to me and society in general. I’ve talked to my guides, higher self and seen signs of encouragement. So far I’ve created several magical beauty potions, wire wrapped jewelry, sacred sachets, healing grids. I wish I had the courage to go against everyone and dive into this path.

Hi Tess :). I did this spell this spell on Sunday the 25th of July 2021. 🙂 I know it starts working immediately but how long does it take to actually get the job did say to attract it?

This spell worked beautifully and immediately for both my husband and myself. My question is, now that we are settling into our new jobs, how do we “dismantle” the alter in a respectful way as to not disturb or destroy what we’ve manifested? The candles, the paper, and the quartz- do they all need to remain in place and untouched? Can we throw away the burned candles, toss the paper, put away the quartz? We just want to tidy up but not mistaken that for any dishonor or reverse anything.
Great question! Yes, you can go ahead and dispose. You may want to wait a full moon cycle (29-ish days) since you’ve done the spell, but if you feel it’s time, you can follow your intuition about it. Congratulations to you both by the way!
It has been just over a full month since we did our spells. The next full moon is not too far away, so I think we’ll wait for that night! We had our bee candles for several months before we actually performed anything, but it’s very obvious now that the bee intention and energy started growing since they came into the house. There were things in motion we didn’t even know about and once we did the spells, all the changes lit up and showed themselves. Hi Tess, does it have to be a clear quartz point? I have one that’s a necklace pendant but it also has a gemstone that’s set onto the metal band that surrounds the quartz so i’m not sure if that would work? Or i also have a clear quartz tumble stone.

HI Tess, I bought a candle in a glass jar and started burning it a few days ago. It started to have a thin layer a wax sticking on near the top and back of the jar (about 3cm in length). So yesterday I used a knife to lightly scrape off the top wax in the glass jar so it bent down to get more heat to melt. I didn’t think too much about it. But was it actually wrong for me to do so? Should I start a new candle then? Also, do you read signs from the wax remains or the flames?

Vi, that’s totally fine! I wouldn’t worry about it. About reading signs, if something really stands out to me, like if the candle burns really brightly or goes out on its own or flickers when I invoke a divinity or something, I’d be likely to read something into it. It depends on what happens and if I get an intuitive hit about it.

Hi, just to state, this spell works!!!! I lit the candle when completing my job application… on Sunday 16th feb. went on holiday on 18th, and by 20th whilst abroad, I got invite for interview on 26th feb… the day I was meant to return from holiday. I arrived to London at 7am, and the interview was at 9:30am. After rushing through the underground trains… I made it. fast forward 2 days later, I got offered the position. THIS JOB WAS FOR ME!!! Back in March (2019) I performed this spell as I was desperate to leave a job that was sucking the life out of me (think toxic managers, boring/monotonous work, inconvenient location, etc.). The day before I performed the spell, I had a happy hour with some coworkers and they also invited a couple of people who had left with the company before I started. I spoke with both of them briefly, mostly about their thoughts on my (then) current place of work. I performed the spell the next day and then two days later, there was a new job opening at the same company those two people I met at the HH worked for! I got in touch with one of them to ask about the position, and it turned out she and I not only went to the same alma mate, but the job was a postion on her team. Well, she forwarded my resume through and two weeks later I got a job offer with the company. I’ve been here since April and I’m SO much happier! I now have a larger salary, which means more access to the experiences and resources I couldn’t afford at my previous job. Well I must share my experience! (I still can’t believe it)
On Monday September 9, 2019 I started my spell. I have a beautiful plate shaped like a fish, so I used that as the alter to set up my beeswax candle. Instead of carving my candle I used these cute beehive shaped candles I purchased at Amazon. I also purchased these cute little wooden bees to stick all over the candle. I also purchased the quartz crystal point recommended by Tess on Amazon.
I cast the spell as instructed and I burned the candle 1 hour each evening during the waxing moon. I knew the full moon would be Friday the 13th, so I was careful to make sure the candle would burn to its end, on the night of the Harvest Moon. After it burned down, I buried the spent candles in the garden.
On Monday the 16th I received an interview invitation. My interview is this Friday the 20th, so please send positive vibes my way for a successful interview. I think this is a positive and powerful spell. Thank you, Tess, for sharing. Blessed be! -`ღ´- -`ღ´-

Hi! No, you should definitely blow it out before you go to bed and when you leave the house. It won’t affect the spell as long as you relight it again as safety dictates until it burns all the way down. If someone else accidentally blows it out, I’d personally look deeply for hidden meanings in why that may have happened, and possibly start the spell again from the beginning.

Hi, does the candle have to burn out completely?? I have a candle shaped and colored like a bee I’ve prized for a long time… But I just gave an application out to one of my favorite places and it’s for making coffees, which I’ve been doing at my job for years! I really need the money too.
